The Matrix Companies #1 in $1-4.3 million category
Five companies were highlighted Thursday among the region's 55 fastest-growing companies as category winners at the third-annual "Fast 55" awards luncheon, hosted by the Business Courier.

The five companies are Triplefin LLC, fastest-growing in the $50-99.9 million revenue category; Bridge Logistics Inc., $5-9.9 million in revenue; CallCommand, $10 million-49.9 million; dunnhumbyUSA, $100 million and higher; and the Matrix Cos., $1-4.9 million.

"The revenue growth rates seen by these companies are astounding," said Courier Editor Rob Daumeyer. "And the range of industries represented is equally impressive."

A supplement inserted in the Dec. 8 edition of the Courier features all 55 companies, comparing their growth over a three-year period, 2004-2006. Companies must have at least $1 million in average annual revenue to qualify, and have their headquarters based in the 15-county Greater Cincinnati region. The 55 are determined through Courier research and nominations. Revenue categories are used so small companies don't dominate the top rankings.

The top 10 fastest-growing companies all grew by more than 200 percent. Eight of the 55 are women-owned companies. Nine companies - ADCM Inc., Ampac Packaging, BlueStar Inc., Environmental Quality Management, LPK, Masters Pharmaceuticals, Paycor, Penn Station and Total Quality Logistics - have appeared in the "Fast 55" all three years of its existence. Five others - The Matrix Cos., CallCommand, DEI, DminSite and Trivantis - hit the list for the second time, with CallCommand winning its category both years.
